The cancel is a bit heavy, but there is no doubt about its use! Clear (without fluid) inverted wavy-line watermark AND KPV watermark. Facit 2018 value SEK 2400 ($310 8/2018 with a typical cancellation). Examples of even the basic stamp with smaller-town cancellation are very unusual; they are extremely scarce on the watermark varieties. This watermark-double-variety is extremely scarce -- one might even say rare. In 45 years I believe I have had one mint example, but this is the only used example! The specialist will appreciate just how scarce this item is both with the watermark variety and the smaller-town cancellation! By the way, Haparanda is located at the northerly extreme of the Swedish coastline, and is the eastern-most community. As the key to the primary land route to Finland, it has great historical importance. |
