Scott #97 4-block [1913 5 øre green Christian X] (VF) on a 30 September 1915 cover from "KØBENHAVN / K" with handstamped cancellation, TO Paris, FRANCE, with French CENSORSHIP tape and handstamps. In 52 years, this is probably the earliest-during-WWI cover I have had from Denmark to France, and is the only example I can recall having with this style of French censor tape and censor markings (see both sides) on a cover from a Scandinavian / Nordic country. In my experience, WWI-era censored covers from Denmark to France are remarkably scarce. This is a first weight class (up to 20 grams) 20 øre franking (1 Oct 1907 thru 31 Jan 1921). Surprisingly unusual in general and perhaps "very scarce" with this specific style of censorship from a Scandinavian / Nordic country. The Danish cancellation on this cover may be of interest to a thematic collector of "Time": The cancellation has an unusual time indicator of 12 3/4 - 1 3/4 PM; I have not seen many examples of quarter-hour time indicators such as this.

Scott #97 x6 [1913 5 øre green Christian X] (VF) on 6 September 1916 cover from "KØBENHAVN / K / 1" with machine cancellation, TO Gif (in Seine et Oise) FRANCE, with French CENSORSHIP tape and handstamps. The envelope (made of expensive, laid paper) was roughly opened on the backside, but looks perfectly fine on the front and pretty good on the back. In my experience, WWI-era censored covers from Denmark to France are remarkably scarce. This is a SECOND WEIGHT CLASS (up to 40 grams) 30 øre franking (1 Oct 1907 thru 31 Jan 1921). Letters over 20 grams to Europe are also much less often encountered than one might expect. Surprisingly unusual!
