b [1870 2 skilling Sword and Scepter, Line Perf 12.5] Used with Average-Fine centering and neat #51 [Odense] 3-ring numeral cancellation. The perforations nearly touch the left frame line, but the other margins are huge and even. The perforations are unusually clean for this notoriously poorly (line) perforated stamp issue. Wonderful, bright color. This stamp is accompanied by a Jay Smith color image certificate with lifetime guarantee (further details of the guarantee are available). Facit 2024 value SEK 3,000 (around $300 1/2024) and AFA 2023 value DKK 2,800 (around $420 1/2024). An attractive example of a stamp that is missing from most Danish collections. [C#02852-01-002]

b [1870 3 sk Arms Line Perforation 12.5] Used VF centered example with neat numeral cancellation, better-than-usual perforations, and strong color. However is creased, but that is not visible from the front. The Line Perf 12.5 stamps are scarce; the AFA 2010 catalog value is DKK 6000 = $1100 [10/2010] for normal quality! Very attractive and very reasonably priced.

b [1870 8 skilling Sword and Scepter, Line Perf 12.5] Used with VF centering and neat #1 [København] 3-ring numeral cancellation. The perforations are remarkably rough on the top and sides -- to the point that this really should be a collectible variety -- but they are clean at the bottom, thus it is easy to confirm that this is the Line Perforation 12.5. Excellent, strong color. This stamp is accompanied by a Jay Smith color image certificate with lifetime guarantee (further details of the guarantee are available). Facit 2024 value SEK 4,500 (around $450 1/2024) and AFA 2023 value DKK 4,500 (around $675 1/2024). An attractive example of a stamp that is missing from most Danish collections. I have only had a very few examples of this scarce stamp in the last two decades! [C#02852-01-004]

[1864 16 skilling Crown and Scepter, Perf 13 x 12.5] Used VF+ with neat #28 3-ring cancellation (Holbæk), strong color, and very nice perforations. The upper left corner perf tip is weak, but even if the tip came off, it would still be a very attractive stamp! Unusually fresh for this stamp (which was mostly used on mail that got roughly handled). This stamp is surprisingly difficult to find in such nice quality; the centering is often poor, the perfs are usually a mess and there is almost always some type of defect. This one is really nice. Facit value for ordinary quality is SEK 1600 ($210 8/2018).

b [1870 16 skilling Sword and Scepter, Line Perf 12.5] Used with F-VF centering and fairly light 3-ring numeral cancellation. There are a couple shorter perforations on the left side -- mentioned only for complete accuracy -- but overall the perforations are remarkably clean and nice for this notoriously poorly perforated stamp. Accompanied by a 1985 Lasse Nielsen color photo certificate stating that this is Position 91 in the sheet, is genuine and without repair, and is a good example (a phrase he did not use very often) [translated]. This stamp is also accompanied by a Jay Smith color image certificate with lifetime guarantee (further details of the guarantee are available). Facit 2024 value SEK 12,000 (around $1,200 1/2024) and AFA 2023 value DKK 11,000 (around $1,650 1/2024). An attractive example of a stamp that is missing from virtually all Danish collections. Most of the examples I see in collections are in poor quality and/or damaged and/or repaired. This example is exceptionally nice. I have only had a very few examples of this scarce stamp in the last three decades! [C#02852-01-005]
