Scott #110 [1921 25 mark M-17 Saarinen Lion, Without Watermark] Used with Superb centering and light corner cancellation. Outstanding appearance with "perfect" centering, "perfect" perforations, and brilliant color. This stamp is worth considerably more in Used condition than Mint condition, thus one has to be cautious about the genuineness of the cancellation, however, despite the higher value in Used condition, genuine Used examples are readily available (unlike the two watermarked versions of the 25 mk). I believe that this example has a genuine cancellation, but the cancellation is light and is positioned such that no date is visible, so I cannot prove it either way. If I could prove it genuine, the price would be very significantly higher for such wonderful appearance! ACTUAL item. |
