The numeral cancellations of Iceland are not often seen but are very actively collected. These cancellations are collected both by the numbers and by the stamp issues. Many of the numbers represent different post offices in different time periods; for example #42 was used at six different locations over the years. Thus most collectors seek most numbers in different time periods (on different stamp issues). Numeral cancellations are only rarely seen on Official stamps. Well centered examples are scarce and demand large premiums.
92 [1912 5 aur Frederik VIII] Used with VF centering and partial #77 NUMERAL CANCELLATION (Haganesvik) cancellation. While this is not a "scarce" cancellation, any numeral cancellation is unusual on this stamp issue.
