Air Mails of Canada 1925-1939 (Arfken & Plomish, 2000; subtitle: The Development and Postal History of National and International Mails) The subtitle says it all; this is an excellent discussion of the airmails of the period and is the only such book that I have seen that addresses the domestic airmails. Well-written and with lots and lots of cover illustrations. Includes a tremendous amount of postal rate information, though one has to dig a little for it. This is best used in conjunction with the Whiteley book. Has a very good index, 230 pages, softbound. Highly recommended. Original publication price was $65 -- this is a super deal. |
