I am constantly buying large and small collections and have built up quite a stock of nice, clean Scandinavian country collections. If you are considering getting into a new area and would like a "starter collection" (whether small or large), let me know about your interest. Also, if you are seeking used binders or used empty albums to match what you currently have, again, let me know. Here are a few samples of collections. The listings below are included by happenstance. If you are seeking a particular country or type of material, please let me know. Payment plans are available. I guarantee your satisfaction.
Due to the low prices and variation in weight, shipping cost is additional for items in the Specials Collections listings unless otherwise mentioned. When ordering please include a note in the shopping cart comments section indicating if you prefer faster/costlier or slower/cheaper delivery so that I may more quickly quote the shipping costs and options for you.
Each item is one of a kind; orders will be filled in order of receipt. Payment by MasterCard or Visa suggested, but I will hold items for 10 days pending receipt of check if you prefer.

Iceland Used Collection 1922-1997: Collection of over 300 different used from 1922 to 1997 on Stender hingeless pages which run from 1873 to 1997. Light on early issues and back-of-book. Includes a nice range of later commemoratives, many of which are not that easy to find used. Overall condition is clean and sound, F-VF or better with a high percentage VF. This one is well suited for continuation and expansion on these pages. Scott 2012 retail totals $430 and the pages have a new retail value of more than $300, so this should be an excellent value for anyone seeking a like-new housing for their Iceland collection. Binder(s) to accompany this can be obtained at a 20% discount if purchased at the same time. The pages from 1998 to date are also available.

Iceland Collection on Lighthouse Hingeless Pages 1876-2004: Collection of about 325 different, mint and used, on near-new Lighthouse hingeless pages 1876-2004. Contents somewhat scattered but all periods represented. Condition is very mixed: the older issues start in the 1880s and are mostly used to about 1950 and include better values, F-VF appearing, but many have back staining from hinge residue (which does not show on the face). After 1950 nearly all mint, virtually all VF, lightly hinged to about 1970 and all NH from there to 2004 including some of the better recent sets. Scott 2012 retail values total well over $950 for the older used and well over $300 for the later mint. Some of the older album pages have some lightly pencilled catalog numbers, but the page set is otherwise VF and retails new for about $435, for a total of over $1685. If you need a handsome Iceland album page set, this is a bargain at only slightly more than the price of the pages themselves!

Iceland Collection Balance 1876-1960: Collection balance of about 120 different from 1876 to 1960, mint and used, on Scott Specialty pages. Somewhat scattered contents ranging from early numerals to later commemoratives and some back-of-book issues. Condition varies: some minor faults, mostly in the earlier issues, but also quite a few sound useful medium values such as mint #232-4, C2-3, C9-10, etc. Scott 2011 retail totals over $1100. Taking the condition factors into account, this should be a good value for someone at our modest price.

Iceland NH "Plate" Blocks, 1964-82: Handsome collection of about 180 mint corner blocks in Hawid mounts, neatly arranged in two stockbooks. Scott number ranges of 360//566, B17-24, C30-1. All complete sets. About 180 different stamps represented. Because Iceland has very few pre-1982 issues with actual plate numbers, these blocks are the closest possibilities (serial numbered or a few unnumbered, as exists). This is a gorgeous lot, OG, NH and uniformly VF. Jay Smith retail is about $713 AS SINGLE STAMPS. These blocks normally fetch a premium over their value as singles. (Old #30022)

Iceland Bridge-Style 1983-84 Postmark Cover Collection on Nordia S/S Covers: A total of 114 small-size covers each bearing either Scott #564 or #581, the 1982 and 1983 souvenir sheets issued in advance of the Nordia 1984 stamp show that was held in Iceland. Each cover bears a 1983 (mostly) or 1984 bridge-style village postmark. The covers are POSTALLY USED and sent to the U.S.; they are very clean and attractive. On the reverse, there are the small U.S. postal sorter machine marks to prove their passage through the mail. The postmarks are from nearly all-different villages; when there is "duplication", it is on a different souvenir sheet (and in a couple cases are different postmark types). Some/many of these villages no longer have post offices or postmarks; and the postmark styles have changed drastically since then anyway. Neatly mounted on Schaubek (available from Scott) blank pages and in a like-new Schaubek binder with slipcase. Some of these covers (or even just the canceled souvenir sheets on them) would sell for as much as $50 each just for the scarce postmark (and it is possible that there are a few even scarcer than that)! Furthermore, these two souvenir sheets themselves are extremely scarce with non-Reykjavik postmarks -- just try to find more than one or two! Simply as postally used, non-Reykjavik canceled souvenir sheets, these would fetch about $20 each for the most "common". Just as the postally used souvenir sheets this collection has a breakup value of about $2280. Considering the postmark values, the breakup value is closer to $3600-4000+! Obviously that would require considerable time (which I am short on) to prepare for sale, thus I offer this collection intact at a very, very attractive price. Payment terms can be arranged. A unique collection that would be impossible to duplicate.

Icelandic Christmas Seal Collection 1913-1958 Mint.
Icelandic Christmas Seal Collection 1913-1958. The complete set of 45 seals (there was no 1917 issue), from the first issue, all Mint. The vast majority are VF -- it is obvious that this collector carefully selected the best quality. Very fresh and neatly presented on album pages; virtually all appear to have light (peelable) first hinges. I note that the 1914 and 1925 seals lack gum (and the price has been properly adjusted) -- at a modest cost I can upgrade them upon request. Usually such collections have "clunkers" in them, but this collection is very nice! Individual retail totals over $440! Icelandic seals are among the scarcest -- this is a great opportunity to get the complete early collection. [233294] Default shipping.
