I am constantly buying large and small collections and have built up quite a stock of nice, clean Scandinavian country collections. If you are considering getting into a new area and would like a "starter collection" (whether small or large), let me know about your interest. Also, if you are seeking used binders or used empty albums to match what you currently have, again, let me know. Here are a few samples of collections. The listings below are included by happenstance. If you are seeking a particular country or type of material, please let me know. Payment plans are available. I guarantee your satisfaction.
Due to the low prices and variation in weight, shipping cost is additional for items in the Specials Collections listings unless otherwise mentioned. When ordering please include a note in the shopping cart comments section indicating if you prefer faster/costlier or slower/cheaper delivery so that I may more quickly quote the shipping costs and options for you.
Each item is one of a kind; orders will be filled in order of receipt. Payment by MasterCard or Visa suggested, but I will hold items for 10 days pending receipt of check if you prefer.

Norway Used Collection 1856-1976: Over 600 different used, neatly mounted on Minkus pages. Strong range of 19th Century including #3-5, 8-18, 20-4, 26-32, etc. Later issues include a strong range of commemoratives and some useful back-of-book. Except typical scattered minor faults in the early issues with some sound, all presentable, and overall much better than usual for this time period. The 20th Century is sound and F-VF or better with much VF. Scott 2008 retail totals over $1600, so this should be an excellent value for filling many spaces at a significant savings!

Norway Norwex 1955 Stamp Show Stamps Specialized Collection: A very unusual specialized collection, from the Norman Gary collection, of the overprint varieties on this set of three "key value" stamps. Both Facit and NK list four major overprint varieties (they occur on all three stamp values), but there are some additional unlisted varieties as well. This collection consists of singles, blocks, and covers bearing these varieties. In the case of blocks, the varieties are in matched sheet positions in the blocks. The approximate count of stamps is: 22 NH sets, 10 Hinged sets, 1 Used set; Additional singles: 4 NH and 9 Hinged. There are a total of six covers, some FDC and some not. Of those covers, one bears two blocks of four and is POSTALLY USED to the U.S. (extremely scarce!!!). Another of the covers is signed by the stamp designer. Two of the covers bear matched sets of varieties all on one cover (I have never seen such before)! Four of the covers bear NON-show cancellations (Facit notes a 50% premium for non-show cancels) and two of those are from smaller cities (extremely scarce)! Looking at the catalog and retail values of PLAIN stamps, without anything added for the value of the varieties or the uses on cover (just counting as plain show-canceled used stamps), the Facit value is over SEK 16,150 = $2400 and my retail value (again as plain stamps) is over $1500! The varieties and the cover uses should add at least 40% to those figures (thus around $2100+++ retail and $3300 catalog) -- and they would sell extremely quickly if offered individually. The collection is very neatly written up on Scott quadrilled Specialty pages with nicely drawn illustrations of the varieties. (I can add 3-hole punching to the pages upon request.) The collection could be further expanded by seeking out less-obvious overprint varieties -- and also overprints on the known varieties on the underlying stamps. Also, one could add more used stamps and more show covers, FDCs, and postally used covers. This is already a handsome and extremely unusual collection -- I have never before seen such a collection -- with great potential for further development.

Norway Collection 1856-2002: Between 4//1349, B5//O114. About 740 different mint and used (mostly mint) on Scott Specialty pages (which run to 1985), balance on neatly hand-lettered Specialty quadrilled pages. Few dozen early issues used; condition varies on these: some minor flaws, many sound, Ave-Fine. From 1937-2002 all mint, lightly hinged to about 1978, NH from there to end. Many commemorative sets and strong 1945-65 semi-postals, all sound, clean and virtually all VF. Scott 2012 retail totals over $1800, of which well over $1400 is in the mint post-1937 issues. There is a lot of solid value to be found in this one!

Norway 1994 Winter Olympic Official Collection: Official binder (manufactured by Lighthouse, 4-ring; worth about $30 by itself) containing official album pages for 1992-1994 stamps (10), souvenir sheets (1), first day covers (5), maximum cards (14), and special cancellation covers (12). I do not know what the "complete" official collection consisted of, but I do not think that it was everything that existed. This binders looks full and I do not remember a second binder being offered. In any case, the total individual retail of the items contained is at least $115, probably more. Offered as a unit, including the binder, at a considerable savings.

Norway Mail Bag 1986: High quality burlap-colored brown heavy fabric (but much finer and smoother than burlap), measuring approximately 3 feet high by 2 feet wide. Three sets of vertical red-white-blue-white-red strips and with a POST 1986 NORGE NORVEGE (and crown and posthorn) imprint in black. Extremely good condition with only minimal wear. Strong color and imprint. Would probably benefit from a gentle cleaning in cold water and cool air drying, but no defects that detract from its TERRIFIC DISPLAY APPEARANCE. This would make a SUPER WALL HANGING and a great holiday present. (Up to 4 available.) (Old #30072)
