Scott #31 Dark Yellowish Green [1885 5p green (shades) 4-Numeral] Mint, very lightly hinged, with F-VF centering and large margins. Has an interesting plate variety (does not affect the price), a colored line in the left margin next to the FIN of FINLAND. Fresh appearance, great color, and with "perfect" perforations. Mint examples of this workhorse stamp can be surprisingly hard to find. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #32a Dark Aniline Rose [1885 10p rose (shades) 4-Numeral] NEVER HINGED with VF centering and very large margins. Wonderfully fresh and bright with great color, excellent perforations, and never hinged original gum. I have carefully examined the gum under 10x magnification; while there are the usual gum variations always seen in the stamps of this era, I cannot find any indication of a hinge mark or other after-production change in the gum. Generic examples of the 10p Carmine or Rose stamps are "very scarce" in such nice quality, but the Aniline Rose stamps can be extremely difficult to find in any NH or Mint condition or centering. I believe that this color is grossly undervalued in all the catalogs. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #33 Yellowish Orange [1885 20p orange (shades) 4-Numeral] NEVER HINGED with VF-XF centering and huge balanced margins. Wonderfully fresh, brilliant color, perfect perforations, and never hinged original gum. I have carefully examined the gum under 10x magnification; while there are the usual gum variations always seen in the stamps of this era, I cannot find any indication of a hinge mark or other after-production change in the gum. Nicely centered Mint Hinged examples of the 20p stamp are quite hard to find, but NH examples are extremely difficult to find, especially with such nice centering. This is certainly one of the nicest -- if not the nicest -- NH examples I have had in 53 years! ACTUAL item. |

Wonderfully fresh, striking color, perfect perforations, and never hinged original gum. I have carefully examined the gum under 10x magnification; while there are the usual gum variations always seen in the stamps of this era, I cannot find any indication of a hinge mark or other after-production change in the gum. Nicely centered Mint Hinged examples of the 25p stamp are quite hard to find, but NH examples are extremely difficult to find. This is certainly one of the nicest NH examples I have had in many years! ACTUAL item. |
