Scott #31 Dark Yellowish Green [1885 5p green (shades) 4-Numeral] Mint, very lightly hinged, with F-VF centering and large margins. Has an interesting plate variety (does not affect the price), a colored line in the left margin next to the FIN of FINLAND. Fresh appearance, great color, and with "perfect" perforations. Mint examples of this workhorse stamp can be surprisingly hard to find. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #35 [1885 1m brownish gray and red (shades) 4-Numeral] NEVER HINGED, Original Gum, with F-VF+ centering. Wonderfully fresh with large margins, strong color, "perfect" perforations, and pristine never hinged original gum. There are at least seven catalog-listed color shade combinations of this stamp, but they are hard to sort out without direct comparison. Wonderful example -- seldom seen in such nice quality. It is "rare" to have this stamp in NH condition. ACTUAL item. |
