Finland: Specialized Stamps: Personalized Stamps - Private Designs

These particular personalized stamps are the private designs which could be ordered through the post office website. While the post office had an official central design for each type of frame, the primary intent was that individuals and organizations would design their own centers. While any particular private design is probably scarce or rare, their variation is limitless and thus they cannot be valued in the way that scarce officially issued stamps would be valued. The value may often depend upon the topicality of the design and the age of the issue (i.e. that the frames are no longer available). I encourage collectors to collect examples that interest them, but to avoid paying very high prices. In time, examples genuinely used on cover will likely be particulary sought after.
