O27 [10 aur Perf 14 x 13.5 Official with "I GILDI" overprint] NEVER HINGED, original gum, with Fine centering. AIEP member and preeminent I Gildi expert Ellis Glatt viewed a high resolution image of the stamp in January 2024 and commented that the overprint is genuine in his opinion. This stamp is accompanied by a Jay Smith color image certificate with a "lifetime guarantee" from Jay Smith (details of the guarantee are available upon request). This is a wonderfully fresh example of a stamp that is missing from virtually all collection. The scarcity of NH examples is clearly demonstrated by the Facit 2024 NH value of SEK 9000! O27b INVERTED OVERPRINT [10 aur perforation 14 x 13.5, INVERTED "I GILDI" overprint, Official] Mint, original gum, lightly hinged, with Fine centering. Wonderful color and very fresh. Accompanied by 1985 Lasse Nielsen color photo certificate (despite the age of the certificate this one is still perfectly reliable). This unassuming stamp is extremely difficult to find in nice quality, even with a normal overprint, and is missing from virtually all collections. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #O29 [1902 "I GILDI" black overprint on 20 aur Official, Perforation 14 x 13.5] Mint, lightly hinged, with VF centering. OVERPRINT VARIETY: The overprint is strongly shifted to the left; the first "I" of "I GILDI" is bisected and the leading apostrophe is cut off (missing, would be on the adjacent stamp). Though the underlying stamp had three printings, only the third and final (yellow green) printing seems to be known with the overprint. However, theoretically, one or both of the other two printings could exist with the overprint. Such a stamp, if it/they are ever discovered, would be a major rarity. Though not mentioned in the catalogs, both the underlying stamp and this overprinted stamp are extremely difficult to find with such nice centering. Such nice examples command significant premium value. ACTUAL item. |

O30a, Facit #TJ20v1 MISSING I in front of GILDI [1902 "I GILDI" black overprint on 50 aur Official, perforation 14 x 13.5] Used F-VF+ re-attached pair with normal stamp on right and Missing I variety on left. The two stamps clearly belong together (connected by the postmark) but due to the very fragile perforations of this issue, they had come apart and have been sensibly and carefully reattached. The variety stamp (on left) has extremely slight blunting of the left-side perforations (almost requires a 10x magnifier to see). Very neatly canceled, well away from the overprint variety. This variety is seldom offered and only rarely offered in Used condition. This is the most attractive Used example I have had in 42 years. ACTUAL item. |

Sheet positions 23-25/33-35/43-45 with Regeling-listed frame flaws in positions: Flaw 3 in position 23 (small dent in top frame at upper left corner, small dents in left frame); Flaw 4 in position 25 (small dent in right frame at top); Flaw 5 in position 35 (cut in left frame at ST and cuts in right at MER). Scott #O33 Printing Variety [1907 Official 5 aur Two Kings] Mint hinged with F-VF centering. Nail/screw head or spacer variety in the right margin near bottom. Printed area in the brown-orange color resulting from either a nail or screw head rising up in the right margin of the sheet OR a spacer between the columns of stamps rising up. Either way something that was not supposed to be there was high enough to get inked and to transfer an impression to the finished stamp. Though some varieities of this type are listed by the AFA Specialized Catalog 2016 (still the most recent edition as of 6/2026), many are not. Such varieties tend to be constant for some quantity of sheets, but usually not a large number, until the printers notice and correct the problem. Thus this type of variety tends to be quite "rare", though semi-transitory. The F-VF centering of the stamp is what nicely allows the variety to be clearly seen in the larger margin on the right side. ACTUAL item. |

AFA-listed plate variety "t": "Color spot in frame to right of M of FRIMERKI". Though the stamp is not well centered, this example clearly shows the variety. The AFA Specialized Catalog 2016 (still the most recent edition as of June 2026), lists this variety in NH condition at DKK 400 (about US$64 6/2026). Priced very low due to the centering.
