Scott #B2 [1933 20+20 aur Semi-Postal Issue; Children Picking Berries] Used with VF centering, with well-centered (I)SAFJORDUR 11 July 1933 town cancellation. Fully dated cancellations on the first semi-postal issue cancellation are "somewhat unusual". Identifiable town cancellations other than Reykjavik on the first semi-postal issue are "scarce". Fully dated AND nearly complete cancellations from any location, on the first semi-postal issue are "very scarce" and it is not at all a stretch to say that cancellations of such quality -- and especially dated in 1933 -- from towns other than Reykjavik -- are "extremely scarce". I have had extremely few such examples in 53 years! ACTUAL item. |
