6 [1858 5 öre Coat of Arms] Mint with XF centering and huge margins. Full original gum, lightly hinged. Wonderful, intense Yellow-Green color. The slightly irregular appearance of the perforation teeth identify this as having 1855 perforations (the perforator was wearing out by this time; the perforator was replaced in 1865). Thus between the perforations and the color, this is confirmed as Facit #7c1 with printings in 1862-1863. which happens to be the scarcest color/printing of the 5 öre stamp, with a 2020 Facit value of SEK 7000! This color/printing is scarce with original gum and fresh appearance; and extremely scarce with such nice centering. Accompanied by a Jay Smith certificate with lifetime guarantee (see details). If you wish a Helena Obermuller-Wilen certificate to be obtained, I can arrange that with estimated additional cost of around $60-80 and estimated 2-5 months to obtain the certificate. An outstanding showpiece!

7 Blue Violet (Facit #8d) [1858 9 öre Coat of Arms] Mint with F-VF centering and so lightly hinged you may not be able to find the hinge mark even with a 10x magnifying glass. Accompanied by a 2012 Helena Obermüller-Wilén certificate stating that it is mint with original gum, with a SFF grade of 3,3,4 and with the comment that translates to "A very beautiful and fresh example". It really is an extremely nice example of a stamp that is quite scarce in such fresh condition.

7 [1858 9 öre violet "Vapen" Coat of Arms ] Used VF-XF with near-perfect centering, neat corner cancel, extremely fine perforations, and deep color. It seems that the vast majority of this stamp that is offered in the market actually have some sort of quality problem. Such attractive and fault-free examples as this one are really scarce -- much scarcer than the catalogs suggest. Facit 2017 value is SEK 2,200 or about $260, for normal quality and SEK 6,000 or about $720 for "top quality". This is an outstanding example, better than any I have had in quite a few years!

7 [1858 9 öre Coat of Arms] Used with F-VF centering. This issue is usually found damaged or "improved", but this example has no defects whatsoever -- it is just "enthusiastically canceled". Nice centering for the issue, excellent dark lilac color, perfect perforations, and complete, upright STOCKHOLM 12 May 1868 cancellation. This would easily fetch $190 if the cancellation were lighter.

8 Dark Blue [1858 12 öre Coat of Arms] Mint, original gum, with XF-Superb centering and extremely lightly hinged. This is an earlier printing with the "1855 perforations" (more irregular than the "1865 perforations" used for later printings). Incredible, intense color, wonderful centering, extremely nice perforations for an earlier printing, and with excellent gum. The impression can best be described as proof-like; it is something to behold. Mint examples of this workhorse stamp are seldom found in such nice quality.

11 Rose Brown (Scott 2018 Classic #11b) (Facit #11g) [1858 30 öre Coat of Arms] Mint, NEVER HINGED, original gum, with F-VF centering. Accompanied by a 2012 Helena Obermüller-Wilén certificate stating that it is mint with original gum, never hinged ("postfrisk"), with a SFF grade of 3,3,5 and with the comment that translates to "A very beautiful and fresh example". Wonderful delicate color, perfect perforations, and perfect gum (with the expected "pooling" of the later printings). While mint examples of this workhorse stamp are offered in the market, they are usually dingy and shopworn, and rarely NH -- NH examples are very scarce. Facit 2018 value SEK 9000 for least costly printing. An outstanding example with freshness rarely seen!

11 GROUP OF 6 COLORS [1858 30 öre Coat of Arms] Used group of 6 F-VF (or better) centered stamps, each with a different color/shade. Colors range from Browns to Dark Red Brown (Scott 11a) to Light Rose Red Brown (Scott 11b, Facit 11c -- scarce, Facit 2020 value SEK 1000). All are attractive and without defects these are NOT seconds! These six colors include the scarcest color and make up the majority of the ten Facit-listed colors (which some consider to be only eight different colors; see the Facit listing). Very fresh and attractive.

12a Dark Carmine, "1855 Perforations" [1858 50 öre Coat of Arms] Mint VF, but without gum (typical). Great "1855" perforations (variable tooth size and blind perfs) and incredible color! (The carmine colors, Scott #12a, were perforated on an older machine with many bent or missing teeth, resulting in an irregular perforation appearance. These are referred to as "1855 perforations" in the literature. The machine was replaced in 1865.) The Facit 2015 value (with gum) for the Carmines ranges SEK 6000-8000 (12/14 US$900-1200). Very pretty!

12a, Facit #12g1 [1858 50 öre Vapen / Coat of Arms] Used F-VF example of the first group of the "Violet-tinged Rose" printings (color confirmed) on extremely thin paper with 1871 cancellation. Unusual dull color shade for this and also unusual for a late printing to be on such thin paper. Priced as a normal stamp.
