Scott #J18a, Facit #L17b Bluish Violet [1882 24 öre Postage Due, Perforation 13; 1884 Printing] Mint with XF centering. Original gum but with a heavy (though neat) hinge remnant. Remarkably well centered for this stamp (the perforations often cut the design). Wonderfully fresh and attractive appearance with terrific color, "perfect" perforations, and "rare" centering.

J19 GRAY VIOLET [1877 24 öre Postage Due, Perf 13; 1882 Printing] NEVER HINGED with Average centering. Very fresh with very unusual deep color. This stamp is almost always poorly centered; this centering is fairly typical. Facit 2014 NH value for typical centering (which this is for this stamp) is SEK 4500 = $720. This scarce major-number color-difference stamp is missing from the vast majority of collections in any quality or centering; NH examples are extremely scarce!

J19 GRAY VIOLET (Facit L17a) [1877 24 öre Postage Due, Perf 13; 1882 Printing] Mint with F-VF centering, without gum. Remarkably well centered for this particular stamp (the perforations usually cut the design). In some respects this is one of the scarcest Swedish stamps -- it is often easier to obtain a #1 than an example of #J19! With gum, this example would easily fetch $250 and there would be a line of people wanting to buy it! Very fresh and attractive.

J20 Pale Green [1877 30 öre Postage Due, Perf 13] NH Fine/F-VF upper left corner margin 6-block (2 wide x 3 high). Though certainly not a "rare" stamp, NH blocks are surprisingly hard to find. Very fresh and attractive. 2014 Facit value as singles is SEK 900 = $145!

Scott #J22, Facit #L20a [1877 1 kr Postage Due, Perforation 13; 1877 Printing] Mint, moderately hinged, with Fine++ centering. The Facit color naming for this printing is "Greyish Green Blue and Orange Brown"; in my opinion, that is not be best naming for these colors. In my opinion, better color naming would be "Bright Blue and Yellow Brown". This also happens to be the most attractive color combination of the four Facit-listed color combinations. This example has typical centering for this particular stamp printing, but is unusually fresh and bright in all respects, including "perfect" perforations. Also, the bi-color registration (align of the two colors respective to each other) is much better than usually seen on this stamp. This is by far the scarcest of the four Facit-listed printings. Facit 2024 value SEK 800!
