Scott #1213 SCOTT-LISTED "(vertical) pair with full horizontal gutter between": Scott 2016 value $425. [1962 5 cent gray Washington, untagged, sheet issue] NH VF full sheet with upper left plate #27307. Fold-over / prior to perforating resulted in this very rare gutter pair at the bottom left corner. The vertical gutter pair (with horizontal gutter) is VF NH and as nice an example as one could expect to find. (The terminology for this can be a bit confusing: Scott is listing the orientation of the gutter, which in this case is horizontal.) The value here is in the pair and surrounding area; the fact that it is in a full sheet is a tremendous bonus, but does not significantly increase the value. This is an extremely scarce item; since each example is the result of an individual fold-over "error", I would be surprised if more than ten examples were known to exist.

1280 [1966 2 cent Frank Lloyd Wright, tagged, shiny gum] Mint VF full sheet showing both GUTTER SNIPE at right and MISCUTTING. The right side shows the full inter-pane gutter, with part of the stamps on the next sheet to the extreme right. The right side is cut at a slight angle; the same angle is represented at the bottom cut of the sheet, cutting off the "U.S. POSTAGE" on some stamps. Upper left corner (location of plate block 32330) has a marginal fault; there is some album page adherence on the bottom row. An attractive and interesting production "freak".

1286 [1967 10 cent Pres. Andrew Jackson, tagged] NH VF full sheet with MISPERFORATION. The vertical perforations are shifted 3-4 mm to the left, cutting off the W and N on the right side of each stamp. The marginal inscriptions (plate number 34348, mail early in the day, and use zip codes) on the left side of the sheet are not in the selvage, but are ON THE RESPECTIVE STAMPS! Unlike coil issues, it is extraordinarily unusual to find sheet stamps with plate numbers actually on the stamp. This misperforation may have affected as few as one printer sheet of 400 (4 panes of 100), in which case only four may have originally existed; because the four sheet positions would thus have been packaged and distributed separately, it is very possible that this is the only remaining example. I have found a few other misperforations of this issue (but none just like this) being offered for $5 to $35 per stamp (none involved the plate number). I believe that the break-up value of this sheet is about $250 for the plate strip of 20 and $5/stamp (perhaps should be $8-10) for the other 80 stamps, totaling $650 break-up value. I offer this full sheet for HALF the break-up value.

Scott #1295a [1966 $5 John Bassett Moore; 1973 TAGGED printing] NH VF/XF/Superb full sheet. Upper left corner, plate #28766. The left two columns, including the plate block are XF-Superb -- unusual for a stamp on which the centering usually varies greatly. There is a slight (typical for this issue) offset impression on the gum on the lower right two stamps. The upper right has some minor bending in the selvedge which I think will flatten out. Otherwise pristine. This sheet is scarce; most of them were broken up and used for postage a long time ago. There were two plate numbers for this issue; both of them exist both non-tagged (#1295, a little scarcer as singles) and tagged (#1295a). It is my observation that though #1295a (tagged) singles are more common, the #1295a sheet is scarcer -- anybody who was buying such costly sheets at the time (this was a lot of money back then) had already purchased #1295 -- they either did not know about the #1295a tagged version or did not care to spend so much money again. This is a real sleeper! The searching I have done finds a couple examples of #1295 (untagged) sheets offered, but I have been unable to find any #1295a (tagged) sheets offered. My most recent Brookman does not price sheets of either, but apparently a later version lists #1295 (untagged) at $1880 (much too high). Regardless, this #1295a (tagged) version is very scarce and is missing the vast majority of sheet collections.

U.S. Scott #1338F 8-cent Flag -- Collection of 37 Different Huck Press Plate Blocks: Group of 37 all-different numbers/combinations of plate numbers in 37 plate number 10-blocks (all lower except one). All NH VF. Quite a diverse group. I am sure some of these must be a bit scarcer than others. The 2000 Durland catalog valued these at $3.75 each (total $138.75). The value face is $59.20, but these should be worth a lot more than that! Shipping cost is additional for this item.

NH VF, with only a very tiny spot on the edge of the top selvedge that might even be from the production. Missing-tagging varieties are generally extremely scarce. 2017 Scott has given this one a modest value of $7.50 for a single stamp, but most such items are rarely offered. As a full plate block, this is surely extremely scarce -- it is also a very nice topical item.
