Scott #7 Dark Red Brown [1858 4 Skilling, Lined Spandrels] (F-VF, creased when put on cover) on 8 August 1861 small cover with #89 (Marstal) numeral cancellation and MARSTALL year-dated side cancellation, to Nestved. The cover was on extremely thin paper and thus a long time ago a collector mounted it on a stiff backing (thus I consider it to be a cover "front" for pricing purposes. The cover has some age spots. The #89 cancellation is actually fairly scarce in this period. There is always strong interest in the year-dated cancellations. If in better quality, with this #89 cancellation, this would be at least $30. Priced very low. ACTUAL item. |
