Scott #O18 [1916 4 øre Official, Watermark Crosses] Used BLOCK OF FOUR with VF centering. Proper use in period with a XF-centered 8 January 1919 "KJØBENHAVN / 7 / 1." single-ring cancellation. This stamp is the key value of the Crosses Watermark set and is hard to find well centered, and is even scarcer with proper, in-period, year-dated cancellation. The AFA 2017 4-Block Catalog (apparently the most recent edition) value of DKK 2400 (about US$385 3/2026). Priced just over the $232 break-up value as four Used VF single stamps! I believe that this is only the third example of a Used 4-block of this stamp that I have been able to offer in 52 years. ACTUAL item. |

Scott #126 [1915 80 øre greenish blue Christian X] Used with F-VF centering and a SUPERB "KJØBENHAVN / ..." 6 November 1920 single-ring cancellation. A couple perforations at bottom are slightly blunted, but one has to look very hard to see that. Such nicely canceled examples of this stamp are remarkably scarce. This cancellation has a feature which I do not recall previously having in stock. The TIME indicator in the dateline is in FRACTIONS: "1 1/2 - 6 1/4". I am not suggesting that the fractional time feature makes this cancellation rare, but in broader perspective of Danish cancellations, it is a "rare" type of cancellation feature. This stamp is one of the most difficult to obtain in the Christian X set. ACTUAL item. |

Examples with both nice centering and a nice postmark are quite unusual! This is also a scarcer stamp in any nice Used quality! ACTUAL item. |
