18 [1875 5 penni 4-Numeral, Perf 11] Bright Yellow-Orange. Used F-VF with neat blue "...URENG..." straight-line railway station cancellation. This general type of cancellation is quite scarce on the 1875 4-Numeral issues and I am not aware of any listing or cataloging of them on the 1875 stamps. I have not been able to identify this one; it is likely a tiny rural station far from any post office. As an added bonus, the top three right-side perf holes are blind (did not get punched out); not often encountered on this stamp. A very unusual example! ACTUAL item. |
