Finland: Cancellations: By Type - Two-Ring (no bridge)

Scott #28 Grayish Ultramarine, Facit #16Lddd [1882 20 penni 4-Numeral, Perforation 12.5] (XF) on 17 August 1883 cover with excellent strikes of BORGÅ 2-ring cancellation, to Helsingfors arriving the next day. Small, intact in perfect condition, red wax seal on reverse with the name "HILDA". Outstanding quality. Such nice examples are seldom found today.

33 [1885 20 penni 4-Numeral, Orange, Perf 12.5] (F-VF) tied on very neat 22 May 1886 cover by carved "cork" grid cancellation and JOENSUU 2-ring dated side town cancellation. Joensuu had several similar style postmarks. Customary "ANK 25/5" (receiving) postmark. All such carved postmarks are at least scarce, and often rare, on cover -- especially examples this nice!

1879 10 penni 4-Numerals Brown UPU postal stationery card [Norma 2002 #13, Lape 2012 #12] Used VF with 9 October 1880 ÅBO 2-ring-no-bridge XF cancellation, to Uleåborg. This is the first UPU-compliant international postal card from Finland, though this example was used domestically -- at this time, the post card rate was the same domestically and internationally. This card issue exists with many small variations in color, paper, and typesetting.
