Scott #B2 [1930 20+25 øre First Nordkap Semi-Postal] Used with Average centering (perforations cut the design), but with a Superbly centered, though lightly struck, BØN 2-ring 24 January 1939 small-town cancellation. By 1939 these stamps were for sale in more post offices, but still had very limited distribution. Most small-town uses of these early Nordkap stamps resulted from the stamps being obtained elsewhere and brought to that location. I do not recall ever (in 52 years) having had an example of this BØN cancellation on any stamp; and especially not on a Nordkap stamp (I do watch carefully for such items). Despite the poor centering, this is a remarkably unusual item!
