Scott #B3 [1930 30+25 øre First Nordkap Semi-Postal] Used with XF centering and with a Superbly centered and very well struck RENA 2-ring 30 June 1930 small-town cancellation. This set was issued on either 25 (Facit) or 28 (NK) June 1930, thus this is an extremely early use. But even more importantly, before 1932 the stamps were only sold (per NK) at Nordkap and in Oslo. This stamp would have had to have been brought to this small town of Rena, which is located in the center (east-west) of the country, north of Oslo and Hamar. This is certainly one of the earliest -- if not the earliest -- small-town uses of any of the three 1930 Nordkap stamps that I have had in 52 years. An outstanding item of exceptional quality and rarity!
