Literature: Scandinavia: Country Catalogs
These gently used books and catalogs are a great way to build your philatelic knowledge and library. All items are used and in at least "good" condition unless otherwise mentioned. I am constantly purchasing philatelic libraries, thus if there is anything you are seeking, please let me know. I guarantee your satisfaction.

Due to the low prices, variations in weight, and different mailing methods, distances, and destinations, shipping cost is additional for items in the Specials Literature listings unless otherwise mentioned. When ordering please include a note in the shopping cart comments section indicating if you prefer faster/costlier or slower/cheaper delivery so that I may more quickly quote the shipping costs and options for you.

Each item is usually one of a kind; orders will be filled in order of receipt. Payment by MasterCard or Visa suggested, but I will hold items for 10 days pending receipt of check if you prefer.

Illustrations of books in the Specials section may show representative images and not the exact item. If you hover your mouse pointer over a picture, you should see a small message box stating if the image is representative or of the exact item.

Finland is served by two very useful specialized catalogs: Norma and LAPE. Both are very useful and both have different strengths. Both were revitalized by new publishers around 2000 and editions since that time are much larger than earlier editions. They use different numbering systems (true of every catalog). The serious Finnish specialist will want both catalogs. The Facit Catalog is also very widely used (probably the most widely used outside of Finland).
732008
Norma Finland Specialized Catalog 1985: Handy, with English text and mostly color illustrations, for the collector who either collects old catalogs or would like to learn a bit about Finland stamps and/or postal stationery (stationery numbering was later changed). Used in typical condition; somewhat worn.

Handlerkatalog Norge, Nr 28, Winter 1998/1999: This is a non-specialized "stamp shop catalog" that is distributed by Norwegian dealers and is somewhat akin to the Brookman Catalog for U.S. stamps. It uses NK numbering but with more realistic pricing than NK. In Norwegian, but very easy to use. Slick printing, full color, very handy. Probably never actually used; pages pristine, but binding with a couple blemishes probably from shipping.

The Facit "Sverige" Catalog is published every two or three years. It is a simplified color catalog with only Swedish text, but it always includes important special sections that change from issue to issue: Reply Stamps, Christmas Seals, Local Post Stamps, etc.

The Facit Specialized Scandinavian Catalog (Swedish section) is the primary Swedish specialized catalog and used by all specialists.

The SFF Catalog ceased publication in the 1980s; up to that point it was the primary specialized catalog for Sweden and included (back then) more Swedish information than Facit. When it ceased publication, some of the information was rolled into the Facit Catalog, however, the special article and some other information that appeared in SFF are still quite useful.

SFF Sweden Specialized Catalog 1979-80: (Sverige Katalogen 1979-80; Swedish Philatelic Federation / SFF) The primary Swedish-only specialized catalog of its day. Covers the whole range of specialized listings, but also includes early stamped postal history, rates, and destinations; postal labels; military mail and stamps; postal stationery; locals; booklets; FDCs; topical index; and more. Includes special article on Swedish POW and Internee Mail WWI up to prior to WWII. With Swedish-English word list. Previously owned, but in like-new condition with spine in perfect condition (very unusual so nice).
