Literature: Scandinavia: Greenland
These gently used books and catalogs are a great way to build your philatelic knowledge and library. All items are used and in at least "good" condition unless otherwise mentioned. I am constantly purchasing philatelic libraries, thus if there is anything you are seeking, please let me know. I guarantee your satisfaction.

Due to the low prices, variations in weight, and different mailing methods, distances, and destinations, shipping cost is additional for items in the Specials Literature listings unless otherwise mentioned. When ordering please include a note in the shopping cart comments section indicating if you prefer faster/costlier or slower/cheaper delivery so that I may more quickly quote the shipping costs and options for you.

Each item is usually one of a kind; orders will be filled in order of receipt. Payment by MasterCard or Visa suggested, but I will hold items for 10 days pending receipt of check if you prefer.

Illustrations of books in the Specials section may show representative images and not the exact item. If you hover your mouse pointer over a picture, you should see a small message box stating if the image is representative or of the exact item.

Greenland Specialized Catalog of Classic Greenland (Hjørne, Volume 5): (Hjørne, 1985) Though numbered "5", this is the one and only edition of the specialized catalog by Hjørne; however it was the fifth Greenlandic philatelic book in his series. An excellent specialized catalog that starts to approach being a handbook, of the Pakke-Porto stamps with excellent variety illustrations; postage stamps through 1957; postmarks of all types and periods up through the 1950s and somewhat beyond; postal history including WWII, parcel mail and cards, early mail to Greenland, etc.; Thule; and more. Contains a lot of information not found anywhere else. Extensively illustrated, compactly presented on 96 pages, softbound (only format issued). Text completely in ENGLISH. This is a must-have reference for any intermediate or advanced collector of Greenland. Near-new condition with only very slight cover wear. Now quite difficult to obtain.

Greenland Postal History (Hjørne) - Volume 1 - Parcel Cards: (Hjørne, 1982) Handbook of the parcel mail and parcel cards to and from Greenland; parcels were the majority of the early Greenlandic mail. Includes both the pre-1938 Pakke-Porto stamp era and the post-1938 postage stamp era up to the late 1950s. Contains a tremendous amount of information not found anywhere else. Text completely in ENGLISH, extensively illustrated, hardbound. This is a must-have reference for any collector of Greenland mail and covers / parcel cards, postal rates, operation of the post office, etc. Still a principal reference on the subject. Near-new condition. Now quite difficult to obtain.

Jens Rosing Stamp Art of Greenland: Attractive 24-page booklet about the stamp design and artistry of Jens Rosing the designer of many Greenlandic stamps. Color illustrated; in Danish but still interesting for collectors of Greenland. This copy does NOT contain the Rosing Slania-engraved blackprint souvenir sheet (which is available separately, subject to availability).

May be available from time to time, please inquire.
