A VERY LARGE GROUP -- PART TWO -- of SIERRA LEONE Stamps was added to the website on 2026 June 25. PART TWO consists of from about Scott #125 up into the early part of the modern era, plus the back-of-book stamps.) The stamps of Sierra Leone start out following the traditional patterns of British Colony stamps, but by the modern era, they went their own way with some of the first and quite novel die-cut stamps in the world. Please check to see if some of these will help grow your collection!
A LARGE GROUP -- PART ONE -- of SIERRA LEONE Stamps was added to the website on 2026 June 18. PART ONE consists of Scott #1 to about #124, plus there are many later stamps, but much more will be added next week. (Part Two should be posted 2026 June 25, with the rest of the country including the back-of-book stamps.) A VERY LARGE GROUP -- PART TWO (final part) -- of ALGERIA Stamps was added to the website on 2026 June 11. PART TWO consists of Scott #193 onward plus the Back of Book stamps (semi-postals, airmails, postage dues, etc.). Fortunately, Algeria has not been in the news a lot in the last few years. However, it has had a rich and complicated history that certainly put it in the headlines many times over the last couple hundred years. A French territory for many years, and now an independent country since 1962, it is still somewhat a "French country" in many respects. The complex history of Algeria, and their vibrant culture of "middle-east meets west" and "north meets south" are reflected on their interesting stamps. Please check to see what will help grow your collection!

However, it has had a rich and complicated history that certainly put it in the headlines many times over the last couple hundred years. A French territory for many years, and now an independent country since 1962, it is still somewhat a "French country" in many respects. The complex history of Algeria, and their vibrant culture of "middle-east meets west" and "north meets south" are reflected on their interesting stamps. The stamps of this Colonial-era entity usually bear the text "Afrique Orientale Francaise", "Orientale" being French for "near the equator". This is essentially a NEW COUNTRY for us, thus it is easy to say that all the stamps on the website are items we have never before offered! Geographically, the colonial territory of French Equatorial Africa includes lands that are now parts or all of what are now several different modern countries, thus the stamps of French Equatorial Africa can easily be included in several other collections. And, as a plus, their stamps tend to be quite inexpensive, especially considering how hard it can be to find nice examples of them. Please take a look to see if any of these stamps will be useful additions to your collection.
*MORE* MODERN GREAT BRITAIN COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS: On 2026 May 21, we completed putting onto the website the rest of what we have of complete NH sets in the 1992-2012 time period. The new items run the Scott number range #1435-2994, but with some gaps. was added 2026 May 21. The GB stamps of this era include many beautiful topical / thematic stamps issues. Please check these listings to see if any of these items will help your collection.
PART THREE of MODERN FRANCE STAMPS (Part Three contains the stamps of 1983-onward up into 1989, the Scott #1849-2202 number range.) Unlike many stamp dealers who only list stamps in sets according to the Scott Catalogue, we do list them as sets, but we ALSO LIST THEM AS SINGLES in many cases (when we have singles available) -- this is especially useful in the definitive stamp issues and the Art stamps. Many, many more stamps after #2202 will be added in the coming weeks. Many collections are missing at least a few stamps in this time period. A large group of CYRENAICA Stamps was added to the website on 2026 May 7. Consisting mostly of land that is now eastern Libya in northern Africa, Cyrenaica was an Italian colonial entity. Many of their stamps are beautiful Italian stamps with Cyrenaica overprints, but others were printed especially for Cyrenaica (and some are in series of similar designs that had inscriptions for different colonial areas). Cyrenaica stamps are seldom offered by dealers. Please take a look at this very strong selection!
A LARGE group of FRENCH WEST AFRICA Stamps was added to the website on 2026 April 30. The stamps of this Colonial-era entity usually bear the text "Afrique Occidentale Francaise", "Occidentale" being French for "West". This is essentially a NEW COUNTRY for us, thus it is easy to say that all the stamps on the website are items we have never before offered! Geographically, the colonial territory of French West Africa includes lands that are now parts or all of what are now at least EIGHT different modern countries, thus the stamps of French West Africa can easily be included in several other collections. Though these stamps are mostly quite inexpensive (though some of the scarce ones are included), they can be very hard to find and are seldom seen on most price lists. A modest group of ALEXANDRETTA Stamps was added to the website on 2026 April 2. This French Mandate ("Colony") was a political territory in northern Syria, bordering on Turkey. Issuing stamps only during 1938, this "country" has only 33 major Scott numbers when the airmails and postage dues are included. By the end of 1938, the area had been renamed Hatay. The stamps, all overprints on Syrian stamps, can be quite hard to find. While this is not a large group, hopefully this group will contain some useful items for your collection.
A modest group of AFARS AND ISSAS Stamps was added to the website on 2026 April 2. The French "Colony" of Somali Coast was renamed Afars and Issas in 1967. It became the (independent) Djibouti Republic in 1977. Scott maintained continuity of stamp numbering from the previous era, thus their Scott numbers are higher than the number of stamps actually issued under this name. Counting regular, airmail, and postage due stamps Afars and Issas only has about 187 major Scott numbers. The stamps are generally in style of other French territories of the era, such as FSAT -- if you like those, you will like these. Though inexpensive, these stamps can be quite hard to find. While this is not a large group, hopefully this group will contain some useful items for your collection.
PART TWO of MODERN FRANCE STAMPS (Part Two contains the stamps of 1979-1982, the Scott #1625-1848 number range.) was added 2026 April 2. AND ON THIS PAGE 1981-1982 STAMPS were added 2026 April 2. The French stamps of this era include many beautiful "Art" stamps, as well as many wonderful engraved stamps. A large group of BRITISH CENTRAL AFRICA Stamps was added to the website on 2026 March 26. This philatelically small and interesting British Colony only has stamps from 1891-1907, thus there are certainly no worries about a proliferation of new issue stamps! BCA was established in 1891 to prevent Portuguese expansion into the area. In 1907, the area became part of the Nyasaland Protectorate. Eventually it became part of the modern country of Malawi. This is a country which seems to be quite hard to find in dealer stocks. We have just added a remarkably large and nice selection of BCA stamps to the website -- this is the largest group we have ever been able to offer. Hopefully this group will contain some useful items for your collection.
A substantial group of BRITISH EAST AFRICA Stamps was added to the website on 2026 March 26. The stamps of BEA span a very limited period of only 1890-1898. Encompassing modern-day Kenya, this Colony, like others in the East African region, changed and evolved over time. The stamps of BEA, which are generally quite distinctive, seem to be seldom offered by dealers. We have today added a modest, but very nice, selection of BEA stamps to the website. I hope that these will help your collection.
A large group of BRITISH HONDURAS Stamps was added to the website on 2026 March 19. Many of these catalog numbers we have not previously been able to offer and many others are restocking of stamps that had previously sold out. There are also many one-of-a-kind items. Furthermore, quite a few images have been added to the listings. Please check to see if these will help to fill any holes in your collection.

A large group of TRISTAN DA CUNHA STAMPS was added 2026 March 12 on spread over FOUR PAGES starting on this page. Please also see the NEXT THREE PAGES as well. This is substantial group with many items that we have not previously been able to offer.
A VERY LARGE group of TRANSVAAL STAMPS was added to the website on 2026 March 5. Thus group includes a wide range of genuine stamps, forgeries, and reprints, all carefully identified. This is by far the largest group of Transvaal stamps we have ever been able to offer. Because some issues of Transvaal stamps have fakes or reprints, collecting this country can be both challenging and fun! However, the situation results in many of the genuine stamps being significantly underpriced (for their scarcity), in my opinion. In addition to the genuine stamps, I also offer, where such exists, the fakes and reprints. I offer them at very low prices, but really not quite enough to pay for my time to offer them, because one must be familiar with that fakes and reprints to learn how to identify the genuine stamps. A very nice group of stamps from the ITALIAN COLONY of TRIPOLITANIA was added 2026 February 19. The Italian Colonies in general are popular, but Tripolitania (i.e. Tripoli and area), in present-day Libya, is especially sought after because it fits in collections of Italy and Colonies, Africa, and the Middle East. (Great Britian "Offices in..." also had stamps overprinted for use in this same area; they are listed on this website under the GB Offices.) These stamps are not very often offered by dealers, thus most collections are a bit "thin" in this area. Please check these listings to see if any of these items will help your collection.

A nice group of TURKS ISLANDS STAMPS was added 2026 February 5. This British Colony in the Caribbean has only 57 major Scott numbers but it is a seldom-offered and challenging "country" to collect. Since 1900, the stamps of the Turks and Caicos Islands have been used. Most collections have none or only a few of the Turks Islands stamps. A group of PENNY BLACKS -- the First Adhesive Postage Stamp -- AND THE OTHER CLASSIC BRITISH IMPERFORATES was added 2026 January 22. The Penny Black (GB Scott #1) stamps in this group are very fairly (low) priced for their quality because they are not "perfect". Just because it is the "first stamp" does not mean that you should have to pay more for it than it is worth! The other GB imperforates (Scott #2-4) listed today also include some very nice items. This page is just the first of SEVERAL PAGES OF GREAT BRITAIN, including a wide range of stamps! This group (PART FOUR) starts with the SEMI-POSTALS from Scott #B532 and runs through #B707 (which is as far as our stock goes at this moment). Never Hinged with VF overall quality and F-VF or better centered stamps. An attractive example that can be used to "illustrate" the exterior appearance of this booklet issue. This is edition 294 (printed lower right of front cover); the back cover bears a "SHREDDED WHEAT" advertisement. Editions 294-297 exist of this 3 sh booklet. Even though this booklet is not complete, it would be a great and INEXPENSIVE way to display the exterior appearance in a 1935 Silver Jubilee omnibus collection. The Scott 2025 value of the one complete individual pane, with normal watermark, is $18 though finding such a pane still with the covers and interleaves is remarkably unusual.

They include everything from scarcer stamps to lower-value stamps that dealers rarely offer. If you include Hong Kong in your collection, you may find some useful items.
A large group of Hong Kong Stamps WITH AMOY TREATY PORT CANCELLATIONS has been added to the website as of 2024 February 22. (We are starting with Amoy, but over the next few months, we will be working alphabetically through the treaty port cities. These items are scarce, but we are very fortunate to have acquired a well-developed collection of these cancellations.) Starting a few years ago, the Scott CLASSIC Catalogue provides listings for Hong Kong stamps used in the "Treaty Port" cities of China. These cities had British / Hong Kong post offices in China, allowed by treaty with China. The purpose was to facilitate British commercial interests in the region by providing faster, more reliable, and less costly mail service between the treaty port cities and the rest of the world. These have been widely collected by specialists for generations, but are now reaching a wider audience. The most basic collecting method is one item from each of the treaty port cities. However, most collectors at least aim to collect ALL the different possible Hong Kong stamps canceled in EACH city; that is how Scott presents their listings. A further extension of that is ALL the different Hong Kong stamps, each bearing ALL the different possible postmarks (devices), from each treaty port city. Some of the stamp uses are much scarcer than others (see the Scott Classic Catalogue listings) and some of the postmark devices are much scarcer than others (in general, or on certain stamps).

View EXACT ACTUAL Image		 Scott #611d [1986-1990 40c Four-Eyed Butterfly fish with Watermark 373 and "1988" imprint in bottom margin] NH with VF centering, but with a few short perforations. Very scarce stamp: Until I showed this example to the Scott editors (December 2023) Scott did not list this denomination of the set with Watermark 373 AND a 1988 date in the bottom margin. Scott did list this stamp design with other dates and/or watermark, but not this combination of date and watermark. As of an December 2023 message from the Scott editors, the next Scott edition will now list this stamp as 611d (probably with a "dash" in the two values, as they have done with such newly "discovered" Bahamas stamps in the past, but I was not told what they would do about values in this case). While surely more examples will eventually turn up as collectors look more closely at their collections, if the Scott editors had not seen an example in the 35 years since this stamp was released, this has to be scarce! This is the only example that I have found.

 United Nations: United Nations 1980-1989 UN FLAGS Mini Sheets Complete Set in Albums: Collection of pristine UN Flag Mini Sheets 1980-1989 in the set of ten compact Fleetwood albums which has one album per year. To see what these mini sheets look like, see my web pages starting here. Each annual album includes a booklet with an article about each country represented. The albums are just slightly larger than the mini sheets. The mini sheets are in crystal clear pages in the albums (you can remove them if you wish). The mini sheets are pristine, NH VF, and complete for the time period. The albums are also pristine except for one which has a damage on the front cover (but the stamps are perfectly fine). The total retail of all the individual mini sheets in the 1980-1989 set is $350, which I normally discount 25% as the year sets -- the ten year sets thus come to $261.75... BUT THIS GROUP OF TEN YEARS IS FURTHER DEEPLY DISCOUNTED ANOTHER 35% -- to less than half the individual prices -- because I already have an adequate stock of the mini sheets. [This offer is supplied with the sheets in the albums, thus there is a shipping cost for the albums. However, if you only want the sheets without the albums and thus a lower shipping cost, ADD $20 for labor (it takes a while to do carefully) to remove the sheets from the albums. In that case, be sure to tell me if you do or do not want to have the ten booklets (with text about the countries). Just the sheets without the booklets will further lower the shipping cost.] Shipping cost is additional for this item.
