20a, Facit #20b Ultramarinish Violet on Yellowish Paper [1872 6 öre violet Ringtype, Perf 14] Mint, original gum, with Fine+ centering, but with tiny bend (appears to be pre-printing) and small natural paper inclusion. Very fresh appearance, with perfect perforations, and excellent color. This color exists on both yellowish and white paper (Facit #20b vs #20c); this the least costly printing of dark violet. 21, Facit #20g Olive Gray [1872 (1874) 6 öre gray Ringtype, Perf 14] Mint, original gum, with F-VF centering. Very fresh appearance, with perfect perforations, and wonderful color. This is a very scarce stamp in Mint condition though this particular color/printing is the least costly of the three "gray" printings. Accompanied by a Helena Obermüller-Wilén (HOW) 1990 color photo certificate which states [translated] "Unused with original gum. The stamp is genuine. No defects. No repairs. A very beautiful and fresh example. A very good example". HOW assigned a Swedish quality rating of 3,3,4 which is excellent for this stamp. HOW is still the best certificate for these issues. 22 Greenish Blue on Yellowish Paper [1872 12 öre Ringtype, Perf 14] Mint, original gum modestly hinged, with SUPERB centering. Very fresh appearance, with perfect perforations, and brilliant color. The colors of this stamp are difficult to sort out, but this is very likely Facit #22f (greenish blue on yellowish paper) -- which is one of the scarcest colors/printings (Facit Classic 2024 SEK 6,000), but I have priced it, adjusted for the Superb centering, as the most common color/printing (Facit Classic 2024 SEK 2,200). This "workhorse" stamp is extremely hard to find in Mint condition with such wonderful centering! From the Haggstrom collection. |

23, Facit #22d Pale Red [1872 20 öre red-orange Ringtype, Perf 14] Mint, original gum modestly hinged, with F-VF+ centering. Very fresh appearance, with excellent perforations, and wonderful, delicate color. This color is seldom seen in Mint condition in such nice quality -- I believe that this is the first undamaged Mint example of this color that I have had in 50 years!
