These bargain-priced stamps are attractive, but may have hidden flaws. Some have no defects at all, but the price is lower simply because of the centering. Unlike some dealers who might not pay attention to and lower the price for such situations, I describe the stamps completely and I set prices accordingly. You can save a tremendous amount of money when you add such stamps to your collection. Each stamp is one of a kind, so please let me know if I may substitute a different example (that looks as good or better, for about the same cost) if the stamp you order has sold. If you have any doubts, all these stamps can be available for viewing on approval. Regardless, you may always return stamps if you are not completely satisfied. If you are seeking any other U.S. stamps of this quality and price level, just send along your want list -- I will be happy to send bargains on approval. Scott numbers have been used unless otherwise stated.

Scott #428 Blue [1910 5c blue Washington, Perforated 10 on 4 sides, Single-Line Watermark] Mint, appearing to be lightly hinged under magnification, but is EXPERTLY REGUMMED, with VF centering. "Perfect" perforation teeth and remarkably attractive despite the regumming. The previous owner was sure that this stamp was NH with original gum! (Scott 2026 value is $32.50 for original gum.)

Scott #429 [1914 6c orange Washington, Perforated 10, Single-Line Watermark] Mint hinged with XF-Superb-appearing centering, but has been expertly reperforated on right side. (Most non-experts might not be able to detect the reperforation. The reperforation is unfortunate because this must have been great looking with large margins; this appears to have been an attempt to improve the centering.) Fresh, delicate color with absolutely no oxidation of the color. An attractive example of stamp that can be hard to find in Mint Hinged condition, but of course now at a low price. (Scott 2026 value is $50.)
