Scott #168 Type I [1925 15 öre Gustaf Left Profile, Type I, Coil] on 18 April 1926 QSL ham radio reception post card from Stockholm to England. The stamp is VF centered, but the stamp and the card are significantly aged. That being said, this is by decades the oldest Swedish QSL card that I have encountered -- I know that QSL cards are not my specialty, but this must be somewhat unusual in that time period if I have not seen one this early in 52 years!

168 Type II, Non-White Paper [1928 15 öre red Gustav V, Left Profile, coil] (VF) on interesting 13 July 1934 picture post card (real photo of Mårbacka, the home of famous author and Nobel prize winner Selma Lagerlöf) canceled at nearby SUNNE, to HUNGARY. There forwarded to Austria, thus receiving a Budapest postmark. Unusual destination and nice card.

118 (or 124?) x2 and 175 [1921 10 öre green Lion and 1925 25 öre blue Gustaf V Left Profile] (VF and F-VF) on 16 June 1927 REGISTERED (with town label) cover to Austria, from LINKÖPING. The two 10 öre Lion stamps are distinctly different colors (dark green vs light green). Very neat and attractive with monogram red wax seal.

178 3-strip [1923 30 öre blue Gustaf V Left Profile] (F-VF) on 5 November 1925 EXPRESS cover from SÖDERTELJE (Södertälje). Window envelope without contents so destination is unknown, but backstamp appears to be Italian (MILA...ROVIA / ESPRE....). Express label #3:3 (dark red translucent paper, rouletted) per Facit Postal listing. Foreign uses are unusual.

118 (or 124?) x5 and 182 [1921 10 öre green Lion and 1921 40 öre Gustaf V Left Profile] (VF/F-VF and Ave) on 17 June 1923 EXPRESS mail cover to Prag, CZECHOSLOVAKIA, with backstamp. PLK 137 RAILWAY cancellations. Express label #3:1 per Facit Postal listing. Trimmed at top, but indicates sender was in Landskrona, which matches the route of the railway line/cancel. Attractive and colorful. Express covers to other countries (especially other than Germany) are quite unusual.

Scott #297 single, 297/297a CB PAIR, 184 White Paper, 287 [1939 10 öre Berzelius (chemist); 1929 45 öre Gustav V Left Profile (1935-1938 White Paper), 1939 1.20 kr Three Crowns] (VF) on 16 April 1940 airmail 15 gram cover from "STOCKHOLM 5 / A" to the U.S., via airmail. The fact that, once this reached the U.S., this was carried by air all the way across the country (and the original Swedish postage paid for that) is particularly unusual in this time period. The reverse bears an untied Civil Defense label (On Guard For Sweden) and also shows envelope damage from something being removed from the reverse or the envelope damaged during opening. Though the routing is not clearly indicated, this cover likely transited England, but does not show signs of censorship. England was already at war with Germany, but at this time, England did not usually censor mail between two non-combatant countries. Correct 195 öre franking: 30 öre surface rate per 20 grams, plus 3x 55 öre per 5 grams airmail surcharge. The #297/297a Used VF CB pair is quite scarce and sells for $285 OFF-cover. On cover, the CB pair is extremely scarce. This is one of the nicest and scarcest Berzelius covers I have had in 52 years!
