33 [1877 20 öre Ringtype Perf 13] (Fine) on 13 March 1883 cover from GÖTEBORG to Lisbon, PORTUGAL, with receiver. Unobtrusive tear in address area, well away from the stamp. This destination is very scarce: it is listed in Facit 2010 as rarity "R4" (4 to 10 examples known). Very attractive and very scarce!

96 x5 [1911 2 öre Arms, Wavy-Lines Watermark] (Fine) on 10 February 1912 picture post card sent from MALMÖ to "EMPIRE, CANAL ZONE, PANAMA, CENTRAL AMERICA". The town of Empire was located in the eastern third of the Zone. While it is not, by that name, on current maps, I found it on a 1920 map at images.google.com. Panama joined the UPU in 1904, thus this is a standard 10 öre foreign post card rate. The stamps have tropical aging as expected for mail to Panama. The card itself is a "Helsning Från Malmö" (i.e. Greetings From, or Grüsse Aus) pre-1907 (undivided back), probably ca.1904. There is no receiving postmark, but one is not expected on such a post card to Panama. The card, addressed to "Miss Minnie Briggs" has an extensive message (on the picture side) and is clearly part of a continuing correspondence. The card is in generally good quality with only rounded corners; the aging is restricted to the stamps because the stamp adhesive was more vulnerable to the Panama climate. Panama is a rare destination for Swedish mail in this time period. The 2015 Facit Postal IX -- this information is not in the more recent Postal X -- states that covers to Panama are unknown through 1891, the end of Ringtype stamp period; then 2-3 covers known with Oscar II stamps 1891-1911; then ***UNKNOWN*** again with Gustaf V or Arms stamps 1910-1920 [THIS PERIOD]; then 2-3 covers known in the 1920-1938 period. While other covers/cards may exist that have not been recorded, it is clear that is quite rare; and may be the only now-recorded cover. I have reported it to Facit. An important cover (card) for an "Arms issue" collection or a foreign destinations collection.

168 Type II, Non-White Paper [1928 15 öre red Gustav V, Left Profile, coil] (VF) on interesting 13 July 1934 picture post card (real photo of Mårbacka, the home of famous author and Nobel prize winner Selma Lagerlöf) canceled at nearby SUNNE, to HUNGARY. There forwarded to Austria, thus receiving a Budapest postmark. Unusual destination and nice card.

116 Type II, White Paper LINE 4-STRIP [1925 5 öre Lion] (Superb) on very nice 17 July 1937 picture post card (real photo of ocean beach at Tylösand) from TYLÖSAND to HUNGARY. This post office was not started until 1934 and is fairly scarce in this early period. Scarce line pair/strip usage on cover to an unusual destination.
