1932 4.50 mk METER IMPRINT from machine #444 with "GRONBLOM" company meter slogan. Sent AIRMAIL, 9 November 1932 from HELSINKI, with machine cancellation, to Birmingham, England. Bluish Finnish airmail label. Such metered covers from this period, especially to other countries, are surprisingly scarce -- they were not saved in the same quantities that stamped covers were saved. Finnish airmail covers from this era are at least "uncommon". Commercial mail with typical minor wear, but a very nice example. |
