Scott #25i, AFA #22a, Facit #28a. Printing 1. [1875 (1875 printing: ultramarine and gray) 3 øre Bicolor, Perf 14 x 13.5] Used with F-VF centering and neat #24 (Helsingør) 3-ring numeral cancellation. Has a couple small faults (couple blunted perfs at upper left side and tiny margin tear at top center that needs a magnifying glass to see). This first printing is quite scarce in any quality -- this is an attractive example at a great price. The 2025 Scott value for #25i is $75, but that is really for the much more common Print 4. As of the 2025 edition, the Scott Classic Catalogue assigns numbers to the major color groups of these 3 øre stamps. The Facit 2024 value for this Print 1 is SEK 1600!! ACTUAL item. |

Scott #25, AFA #22, Facit #28g. Printing 7. [1875 (1884 printing: grayish ultramarine and gray) 3 øre Bicolor, Perf 14 x 13.5] Used with Fine+ centering and neat, well-centered "(KJØ)BENHAVN. V." cancellation; this cancel style did not include a year date. This cancellation has an unusual style, with small town name lettering. This Print 7 can be confused with Print 6, but THIS Print 7 has thicker paper and the frame color is more grayish. Also, perhaps because of the thicker paper, Print 7 tends to have wider perforation teeth (smaller perf holes). An attractive example. As of the 2025 edition, the Scott Classic Catalogue assigns numbers to the major color groups of these 3 øre stamps; this color combination is now the main #25 number. Facit 2024 value SEK 450.
