The perforations must be the roughest I have ever seen on this stamp (a variety, not a defect). AFA 2016 Specialized (most recent) value DKK 100 without factoring in the rough perforation variety. J3 YELLOW, Rough Perforation Variety [1921 Postage Due "PORTO" overprint on 7 øre Christian X] Used with Superb centering and very neat cancellation. This "yellow" color used to be catalog-listed and it is a legitimate color/printing, not the result of fading. However, for reasons not known to me, it is no longer listed in the catalogs, but there are still spaces for it in many of the European-made albums. Perfect centering! The perforations must be the roughest I have ever seen on this stamp color (a variety, not a defect). While the normal orange color of this stamp is common, this yellow color is much scarcer. This is probably the nicest looking Used example I have had in 48 years! ACTUAL item. |

J5 [1921 Postage Due "PORTO" overprint on 20 øre Christian X] HORIZONTAL PAIR Used with F-VF centering and neat, single cancellation strike. The left stamp of this pair has an unlisted plate variety: "color spot in C above X of upper left monogram". Used multiples of Danish postage due stamps seem to be less often seen that multiples of postage dues from many other countries. Very fresh and attractive. Priced at barely more than double the single value for this centering. ACTUAL item. |

(If the cancellation were perfectly upright, not as much of it would have fit on the stamp. The overprinted postage due stamps are hard to find with such nice centering and such complete cancellations. An ordinary Used example of this stamp with this centering would be $11 -- with such a nice cancellation it is much, much scarcer! ACTUAL item. |

The left stamp has AFA-listed overprint variety: "Right leg of R [now completely!] disconnected". The cancellation is heavy on the lower part of the stamp, but the cancellation is completely clear of the overprint variety. Scarce, seldom-offered variety. AFA 2016 Specialized (most recent edition) value is DKK 200 (US$33) just for the variety stamp! ACTUAL item. |

J7 [1921 Postage Due "PORTO" overprint on 50 øre Christian X] Mint, very lightly hinged, with Superb centering. This example is overprinted on an earlier printing, with yellow gum, of the underlying stamp. (The underlying stamp had 8 printings, but only parts of printings 5, 6, and 7 were overprinted "PORTO". There are color shade differences of those three printings. The quantities overprinted from each of those three printings does not seem to be specified in the literature. Based on my experience, I believe that this one is much scarcer than the other two.) Very attractive and seldom offered so nice! ACTUAL item. |
