Scott #374 [1909 "ONE CENT" Green Franklin, Sheet Stamp, Single-line Watermark, Perf 12] Used with VF centering and JUMBO MARGINS. Very neat, line wavy-line cancellation. While this is otherwise a very common stamp, an example with such huge margins is exceptional!

Scott #374a Booklet Pane [1910 "ONE CENT" green Franklin, Perf 12, Single-Line Watermark] NEVER HINGED Booklet Pane with typical Average centering (the Bureau had a lot of problems producing #374 and experimented with stamp spacing). Catalog number faintly penciled in tab, but barely visible. Wonderfully fresh with very crisp engraving. Nice guide-line right side of pane, central row position, one of the 12 collectible positions. A scarce early booklet pane! (Scott 2021 value $375.)

Scott #376 [1911 3c violet Washington, Type I, Perforation 12, Single-Line Watermark] BLOCK OF FOUR, with 3 mm stamp spacing (the scarcer spacing), with PLATE NUMBER 6052. Mint, hinged, with F-VF centering. Some perforation separations but still quite nice for blocks of this issue. (The Scott 2025 value for single stamps totals $80. As of this 10/2024 writing, the Scott editors are reviewing and correcting incorrect block values of this set. The Scott block value -- without a plate number -- should probably be around $90 for this item.)

Scott #381 [1911 10c yellow Washington, Perf 12, Single-Line Watermark] Mint, lightly hinged, with VF centering. Very attractive example in strong orangish color shade. Unusually nicely centered for this hard-to-find stamp. In my opinion, the catalog value is too low for well-centered examples. (Scott 2023 $85.)

Scott #381 [1911 10c yellow Washington, Perf 12, Single-Line Watermark] Used with VF centering and large margins (from the 3 mm spacing part of the sheet), with a very neat partial 4-bar cancellation, but a couple blunted perforations. Very attractive example with brilliant yellow color. In my opinion, the catalog value is too low for well-centered examples. (Scott 2023 $6.)

Scott #382 [1911 15c ultramarine Washington, Perf 12, Single-Line Watermark] Used with VF centering and neat cancellation. With very strong color for this stamp. Most examples seen are only Average or Fine centered! In my opinion, this is quite undervalued in VF. (Scott 2023 $20.)

Scott #382 [1911 15c ultramarine Washington, Perf 12, Single-Line Watermark] Used with F-VF centering and extraordinarily light cancellation. Remarkably strong and clean color, and crisp engraving impression, for this stamp (usually the printing and color is "muddy"). Most examples seen are only Average or Fine centered and with a heavy cancellation! This example is quite nice. (Scott 2024 $20.)

Scott #385 [1910 1c green Franklin, Vertical Coil Perforated 12 Horizontally, Single-Line Watermark] Mint with VF centering, but has some gum disturbance and a small spot in the top margin. Due to the relatively low value of the stamp and due to the quality, I have chosen not to obtain a certificate for it (which would cost more than my price for this stamp). However, I guarantee this stamp to be genuine and I would refund the purchase price if found otherwise, but I would not pay for expertizing costs in this case. (Scott 2024 $50.)

Scott #391 [1910 2c carmine Washington perf 8.5 horizontally coil] Used with VF centering and ample to huge margins. Neat wavy-lines machine cancellation. Excellent perforation teeth -- much, much nicer than usual. An excellent example of a hard-to-find stamp. (Scott 2023 $50.) [Genuineness has been confirmed by an experienced expert, but value is too low for the cost of a certificate.]

Scott #391 [1910 2c carmine Washington perf 8.5 horizontally coil] Used with Just-Fine centering and three large to huge margins. Light wavy-lines machine cancellation. The bottom perforation teeth are totally complete, but the top teeth are blunted or short, probably the result of the cutting edge of a stamp dispenser. Otherwise, no defects of any sort. An nice example of a hard-to-find stamp. (Scott 2023 $50.) [Genuineness has been confirmed by an experienced expert, but value is too low for the cost of a certificate.]

Scott #396 [1913 5c blue Washington perf 8.5 vertically coil] Used with Average centering and a remarkably neat "NEW..." face-free corner cancel (double oval undated type typically used on third class mail and registered mail). Partially trimmed perfs on left side -- I suspect that this is the result of being pulled from a stamp dispenser with a cutting edge -- that is fairly common on this whole Perf 8.5 issue. Light crease and small light thin, both only visible from the reverse, but even then not obvious. High-contrast example with deep color and unusually white paper. Great price for a hard-to-find stamp. (Scott 2023 $65.) [Genuineness has been confirmed by an experienced expert, but value is too low for the cost of a certificate.]
