Excellent perforation teeth for this issue. Incredibly deep color and wonderful freshness. An extremely attractive example that could almost be described as having "jumbo" margins. This stamp is "very scarce" with such nice centering and margins. (Scott 2026 graded value for XF-S/95 is $125.) ACTUAL item. |

Scott #428 Indigo Blue [1910 5c blue Washington, Perforated 10 on 4 sides, Single-Line Watermark] Mint, lightly hinged, with VF-XF centering and large margins. Perhaps others would describe this as having XF centering. Nicer than usual perforation teeth for this issue. Incredibly deep color and wonderful freshness. The Indigo Blue color, when compared with Dark Blue or Deep Blue stamps, is much more toward the violet end of the spectrum and is almost a Deep Ultramarine. While Scott values the Indigo Blue the same as the other colors of this stamp, in my experience the Indigo Blue is scarcer. An very attractive example with remarkable appearance. This stamp is "very scarce" with such nice centering and margins. (Scott 2026 graded value for VF-XF/85 is $42.50 for the "normal" color.) ACTUAL item. |
